27 September 2023 – H.E. Ir. Yusuf bin Abd Wahab, Chairman of the Special Select Committee (SSC) on Infrastructure, Transportation, and Communication, House of Representatives of the Malaysian Parliament paid a courtesy call on H.E. Mr. Kokuba Konosuke, State Minister of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism (MLIT). Chairman Yusuf was also accompanied by members of the SSC as well as Mr. Anwar Udzir, Deputy Chief of Mission of the Embassy.
The purpose of the call was to enhance the SSC’s understanding on Japan’s policy in developing smart cities and public housing projects, as well as infrastructure developments including the “shinkansen” train system. The Parliamentary Special Select Committee was in Tokyo for its working visit to Tokyo from 25 to 30 September 2023.
