11 September 2023 – Mr. Anwar Udzir, Deputy Chief of Mission of the Embassy of Malaysia in Tokyo attended a meeting with Ms. Hotta Yuko, Deputy Assistant Secretary-General of the Secretariat for the Commemorative Summit for the 50th Year of ASEAN-Japan Friendship and Cooperation. The meeting was held at the request of the latter to discuss awareness programmes and activities that can be promoted by both, the Embassy and the Secretariat in conjunction with the upcoming Summit in December this year.
With the theme “Golden Friendship, Golden Opportunity”, the 50th anniversary Commemorative Summit would bring ASEAN-Japan relations to another milestone of achievement. The Summit will serve as a catalyst to strengthen the relationship between ASEAN Member States and Japan further in various areas of cooperation.
