The Embassy of Malaysia in Tokyo, led by Mr. Zainal Azlan Mohd Nadzir, Deputy Chief of Mission, together with Embassy officials, held a meeting with Ms. SHIMAZU Junko, Programme Officer and Training Leader, and Ms. NAKAJIMA Hikari, Training Officer from the Division for Prosperity of the United Nations Institute for Training and Research (UNITAR).
The session served as an introductory engagement, providing an overview of UNITAR’s presence in Japan and its work in areas such as economic development, sustainable finance, and capacity-building programmes for countries in the region, including ASEAN. Discussions also focused on a new initiative on sustainable green finance, reflecting shared interests in advancing capacity-building in this important area.
The meeting marks a positive step towards exploring future collaboration and strengthening partnerships in support of sustainable development.
