5 March 2024 – H.E. Dato’ Shahril Effendi Abd Ghany, Ambassador of Malaysia to Japan, welcomed a Malaysian delegation led by YBhg. Tan Sri Professor Emeritus Dr. Zakri Abdul Hamid, Founding Director of International Institute of Science Diplomacy and Sustainability (IISDS), UCSI University. YBhg. Tan Sri was accompanied by Mr. Muhammad Azmil bin Zakri, CEO of ATRI Advisory, Mr. Mohd Zakwan bin Mohd Zabidi, Senior Vice President of the Malaysian Industry Government Group for High Technology (MIGHT) and Assoc. Prof. Ts. Dr. Tan Wee Hoe, Deputy Director of IISDS, UCSI University.
The Meeting aimed at strengthening Malaysia-Japan relations through Science Diplomacy and to address Multilateral Environmental Agreements (MEA) including environmental protection, climate change and biodiversity loss.
