Minister of Culture, Arts and Heritage of Malaysia Visited Japan

The Minister of Culture, Arts and Heritage, the Hon. Datuk Seri Utama Dr. Rais Yatim was on a two-day working visit to Tokyo on 23-24 May 2007. He was accompanied by his wife Datin Seri Masnah Rais, senior officials from the Ministry of Culture, Arts and Heritage; the Ministry of Science, Technology, and Innovation; the Ministry of Energy, Water and Communications; the National Arts, Culture and Heritage Academy (ASWARA), the Malaysia National Film Development Corporation (FINAS), the Multimedia Development Corporation and representatives from private companies dealing with animation production. The working visit aimed at establishing contacts with Japanese companies dealing with animation production. During his visit, Hon. Minister was taken on a tour to two of the biggest animation production companies in Japan namely Toei Animation Studio and Gonzo Studio. He was given very useful briefings by officers from both companies.
