Officiating Ceremony of the Malaysia Pavilion at the Tokyo Game Show 2025

25 September 2025 – The Malaysia Pavilion at the Tokyo Game Show 2025 was officially inaugurated by H.E. Dato’ Shahril Effendi Abd Ghany, Ambassador of Malaysia to Japan. In his remarks, H.E. Dato’ Shahril highlighted Malaysia’s commitment to becoming a regional leader in the digital content industry, showcasing the country’s creativity, innovation, and growing global competitiveness. The ceremony was also attended by Mr. Anuar Fariz Fadzil, CEO of Malaysia Digital Economy Corporation (MDEC) and Mr. Zuaziezie Zulkefli, Director of MATRADE Tokyo.

 

For the ninth consecutive year, Malaysia proudly presented nine leading studios, demonstrating expertise across console & mobile gaming, metaverse solutions, and world-class digital creative services. The Pavilion also serves as a platform to highlight Malaysia’s thriving digital ecosystem and its emergence as a hub for entertainment and innovation in Asia.

 

This year’s Pavilion featured exciting new gaming titles in Japan, including The Hell – City Builder of the Dead, Chiyo, Parasomnia, Project Survival, and the latest 3D console release from Malaysia’s beloved Upin & Ipin franchise. These launches reflect Malaysia’s growing presence in the global gaming industry and its commitment to nurturing talent, creativity, and international collaborations.
