2 September 2024 – Mr. Jeffry Meyer, First Secretary (Information & Public Relations) of the Embassy, gave an online lecture to 310 students from five schools in Miyoshi Town namely; Miyoshi Elementary School; Fujikubo Elementary School; Kamitomi Elementary School; Karasawa Elementary School; and Chikumazawa Elementary School.
During the programme, Mr. Jeffry talked about the harmonious multi-culture co-existence in Malaysia, introducing students to various traditional costumes, festivals, local fruits, and the country’s rich flora and fauna. He also provided a basic introduction to the Malay language.
This annual event, organised by the Miyoshi Town Educational Board, aimed to deepen students' understanding of different cultures and promote international awareness. The interactive session also allowed students to ask questions, further enhancing their engagement and learning experience.
