On 5 October 2014, Hari Raya Aidil Adha Open House hosted by the Embassy of Malaysia in Tokyo, Japan was held at the Chancery under the Public Diplomacy Programme.
It is estimated that a total of 550 guests comprising of Malaysians working and studying in Japan, Malaysian Muslim friends, officers/staff homebased staff of the Embassy of Malaysia and Malaysian agencies in Tokyo as well as their family members attended the Hari Raya Aidil Adha celebration this year. Eid Al-Adha Prayer and a sermon was held at the Multipurpose Hall at 8.30 am and subsequently followed by a reception at the foyer of Chancery Building. Traditional Malaysian delicacies such as kari daging, nasi himpit, ramen, fried chicken, fried noodles and peanut sauce were served during this event.
