19 February 2025 – The Embassy of Malaysia in Japan was invited to deliver a talk about Malaysia at Arima Elementary School as part of its public diplomacy initiatives. The program, attended by 120 sixth-grade students, aimed to introduce Malaysia’s rich history, diverse culture, and vibrant traditions to young learners in Japan.
The session began with the pupils enthusiastically singing Malaysia’s national anthem, Negaraku, followed by a short speech in Bahasa Malaysia, showcasing their interest in learning the language. Embassy representatives then provided insights into Malaysia’s diverse society, renowned landmarks, traditional cuisine, and vibrant festivals celebrated across the country.
To make the session more engaging, the Embassy organised a short quiz on Malaysia. The visit concluded with a lively question-and-answer session. The Embassy was delighted by their curiosity and enthusiasm, reinforcing the importance of cross-cultural learning.
The Embassy appreciates the warm welcome from Arima Elementary School and looks forward to more opportunities to engage with Japanese students in fostering mutual understanding and friendship between Malaysia and Japan.
