19 October 2023 – Mr. Md. Jeffry Joe Meyer, Second Secretary (Information and Public Relations) of the Embassy of Malaysia in Tokyo were invited to give a talk on “Malaysia Truly Asia” at the Asaka Dai-6 Elementary School in Asaka City. The programme was organised by the Administrative Office of the school with cooperation with MAY Asaka Centre – a non-profit organisation (NPO) which initiated the “Friendly Relationship through Picture” initiatives between Malaysia and Japan.
The programme was attended by around 160 school children, teachers and parents. Asaka Dai-6 Elementary School is one of the schools which actively send children’s drawings to Malaysia and receiving drawings of Malaysian children in return. The drawings from Malaysia are currently exhibited at Asaka Dai-6 Elementary School to promote understanding on Malaysian cultures and arts among school children.
