13 March 2024 – The Embassy of Malaysia in Tokyo was honoured to be invited to give a presentation to 315 students of Fuchu Nishi Senior High School. This programme was a collaborative effort between the school and the Tokyo International Exchange Concierge Office, with the aim of fostering cultural exchange and enriching the students’ understanding of multicultural environments.
Mr. Md Jeffry Joe Meyer, Second Secretary (Information and Public Relations), delivered the presentation with the assistance of Ms. Sachiko Nakata, Information Assistant of the Embassy. During the session, the students were provided with insights into Malaysia’s development as a multi-ethnic nation and its progress since independence.
The students from the art class also took a chance to showcase an outstanding choir performance featuring a popular Malay folk song “Rasa Sayang”. Last year, the school achieved first runner-up in the national choir competition.
