6 March 2025 - As part of its ongoing efforts to promote Malaysia’s identity and rich cultural heritage, the Embassy of Malaysia in Japan welcomed 20 second-year students from Fuchu Nishi Senior High School for a Public Diplomacy Programme.
The programme commenced with an engaging presentation by Mr. Jeffry Meyer, titled "Malaysia Truly Asia” and “Malaysia-Japan Diplomatic Relations". Mr. Jeffry shared insights into Malaysia’s diverse culture, history, and the longstanding friendship between Malaysia and Japan. His presentation was followed by an interactive Q&A session, during which students enthusiastically posed questions about Malaysia’s culture, traditions, and bilateral ties.
Following the presentation, the students took part in a hands-on demonstration of Batu Seremban, a traditional Malaysian children’s game. The visit concluded with students expressing their appreciation for the opportunity to learn more about Malaysia’s multicultural society and its close relationship with Japan.
The Embassy remains committed to promoting cultural exchanges and looks forward to welcoming more students and visitors through similar initiatives in the future.
