10 November 2025 – The Embassy of Malaysia in Japan, represented by Mr. Jeffry Meyer (First Secretary), visited the Kita-Tsunashima Special Needs School in Yokohama. The Embassy was pleased to present several Batik painting kits to the students as a gesture of friendship and cultural exchange.
During the visit, Mr. Jeffry also took the opportunity to introduce the Batik-making process, explaining its significance in Malaysian culture and guiding the students through the basic steps of creating their own designs.
The Embassy looks forward to receiving photos of the students’ completed Batik artworks and hopes this initiative will deepen cultural understanding and foster ongoing engagement between the Embassy and the school community.
