14 April 2023 – The Embassy of Malaysia in Tokyo was invited to give a public lecture to a total of 40 members of Japan Council of Metalworkers’ Unions (JCM). The programme was organised to introduce the members of JCM on Malaysia, prior to their visit to Kuala Lumpur at the end of May 2023. During the presentation, the participants took the opportunity to learn some basic Malay words.
The lecture was part of the Embassy’s efforts to promote Malaysia’s uniqueness as a multicultural country, tourism and culinary destination in the region.
JCM is a joint labour union of major Japanese manufacturing companies such as Toyota, Nissan, Mitsubishi Motors, Panasonic, Toshiba, Hitachi, Mitsubishi Heavy Industries, etc. As part of JCM’s international training programme, the working visit to Malaysia will help develop constructive industrial relations with Japanese companies operating in Malaysia.
