H.E. DATO’ KENNEDY JAWAN
AMBASSADOR OF MALAYSIA TO JAPAN
FOR THE
HANDOVER OF FACE MASKS CEREMONY
EMBASSY OF MALAYSIA IN TOKYO
22 MAY 2020
Yang Berbahagia Datuk Steven Ozeki Tan,
President of the Japan Graduates’ Association of Malaysia
(JAGAM) Japan Chapter
Yang Berbahagia Dato’-Dato’,
Distinguished Guests,
Ladies and Gentlemen.
A very good morning and Selamat Sejahtera.
First and foremost, I wish to thank our friends from JAGAM Japan Chapter and the business community in Japan for coming to this event today.
- I also wish to express my utmost appreciation to JAGAM Japan Chapter, especially Yang Berbahagia Datuk Steven Ozeki Tan as well as other distinguished sponsors for their generous face masks contribution for all Malaysian students in Japan.
- Combining your contribution with the face masks contributed by the Government of Malaysia, we now have 30,000 face masks that will be distributed to about 3,000 Malaysian students who have registered with the Embassy.
- The Embassy will be distributing these face masks to the students all over Japan beginning from next week and aims to complete the delivery process before the end of this month.
- It is the Government’s as well as the Embassy’s and the sponsors’ hope as well that these face masks will go a long way in helping the students in bolstering their efforts to prevent the spread of COVID-19.
- Once again, I wish to thank all the sponsors for joining us in this endeavor to assist our fellow students in Japan. We truly appreciate it.
- Now, I am pleased to invite Yang Berbahagia Datuk Steven Ozeki Tan to give us a few words or more.
Yang Berbahagia Datuk, the floor is yours.
