 "SEMINAR ON MALAYSIA MY SECOND HOME (MM2H) / LONGSTAY PROGRAM IN NAGOYA"

 

The Seminar on Malaysia My Second Home (MM2H) / Longstay Program was successfully held on 29 June 2011 in Nagoya City, Aichi Prefecture. The Seminar was organized by Tourism Malaysia office in Tokyo with the cooperation of Chuinichi Shinbun, a Japanese daily newspaper based in Nagoya.

 

His Excellency Datuk Shaharuddin Md Som, Ambassador of Malaysia to Japan officiated the Seminar which had attracted approximately 780 Japanese participants. The purpose of the Seminar was to promote Malaysia as the most ideal choice for medium and long-term retirement destination through the MM2H and Longstay Programs, respectively.

 

1,306 Japanese had participated in the MM2H Program since its inception in 2002, making Japan the fourth largest market for the MM2H Program. In addition, for five consecutive years from 2006 to 2010, Malaysia was voted as the top choice for long-stay program among the Japanese in a poll conducted by the Long-Stay Foundation of Japan.
