The ASEAN – Korea Centre (AKC) and Korea Association of South East Asian Studies (KASEAS) jointly organised the 2024 International Conference on ASEAN – Korea Partnership on 7 November 2024 at Lotte Hotel. It was attended by more than 300 participants from ASEAN countries as well as local participants. The hosting of the conference was to commemorate the 35th anniversary of ASEAN – Korea partnership and 15th anniversary of the establishment of AKC.
Many prominent speakers from ASEAN and ROK were invited to share their thoughts on the future direction of the partnership including Dato’ Astanah Abdul Aziz (Deputy Secretary-General of ASEAN for Political-Security affairs), Mr Bala Kumar Palaniappan (Direcror of External Relations Directorate of ASEAN Secretariat), Dr Melati Nungsari (Asia Business School) and Farlina Said (ISIS Malaysia).
