The Vice-Governor and Ambassador of the Province of Gyeongsangbuk in the Republic of Korea Mr Son Se-joo, accompanied by Director in the Agricultural Research & Extension Services Research & Development Bureau Mr Park So-deuk on 13 July 2012 made a call on H.E. Ambassador Dato’ Ramlan Ibrahim to discuss a proposed Memorandum of Understanding between Gyeongsangbuk Province and the State of Pahang for agricultural science and technology cooperation. The initiative would entail the transfer of advanced farming technology to Malaysia and research in crop varieties to mutually benefit Korean and Malaysian farmers. Under the proposal Korean farming technology will be introduced through on-the-job training for Malaysian farmers on land provided by the State of Pahang. There would also be transfer of specialized Korean varieties of fruits and vegetables to Malaysia and exchange of agricultural research. H.E. Ambassador assured the visitors that the Embassy would convey this proposal to the Pahang State Government through the appropriate channels. Picture shows H.E.
