On 20 October 2025, the Deputy Chief of Mission of the Embassy of Malaysia in Seoul attended the International Cooperative Agricultural Organisation (ICAO) Seoul Declaration Ceremony, held at the NACF Grand Auditorium in Jongno District, Seoul.
The ceremony, which marked an important milestone in strengthening global agricultural cooperation, was preceded by the ICAO General Meeting. The meeting brought together 24 member organisations from 20 countries, including Malaysia, which was represented by ANGKASA – the apex cooperative organisation of Malaysia.
In his welcoming remarks, Mr. Kang Ho-dong, Chairman of the National Agricultural Cooperative Federation (NACF), highlighted the growing importance of solidarity and collaboration among member nations in addressing the pressing challenges facing the global agriculture sector, particularly those arising from climate change and food security concerns.
The event served as a meaningful platform for member organisations to reaffirm their shared commitment towards advancing sustainable agricultural practices and fostering mutually beneficial partnerships for the well-being of farming communities worldwide. Malaysia’s participation at the ceremony underscored the country’s continued support for multilateral cooperation in promoting agricultural innovation, resilience, and sustainability across borders.
