A 75-member delegation led by YB Datuk Amar Haji Awang Tengah Ali Hassan, Second Minister of Resource Management and Environment, Minister of Industrial Development, Minister of Public Utilities, Sarawak cum Chairman of STIDC Board of Management accompanied by Assistant Ministers, Senior Government officials, timber manufacturers/exporters and other industrialists arrived in Seoul on Tuesday, 10 January, 2012 on a timber investment and selling mission. The mission aims to strengthen bilateral trade rapport with existing and potential buyers and increase sales of timber and timber products as well as promote investment opportunities in the Sarawak Corridor of Renewal Energy (SCORE).


 

Sarawak Timber Industry Development Corporation (STIDC) in collaboration with the Embassy of Malaysia, MIDA and MATRADE Offices in Seoul and the Korea Forest Service have lined up an investment seminar, business meetings, a round table discussion with captains of industry, business cooperation memorandums of understanding and factory visits during the timber mission to Korea.
