Seminar on the Investment Opportunity in Malaysian and India

TYT Dato’ Ramlan bin Ibrahim, Ambassador of Malaysia to the Republic of Korea delivered his congratulatory remarks at the “Seminar on the Investment Opportunity in Malaysia & India” held at the EL Tower in Seoul on 14 April 2009. TYT Duta Besar Dato’ Ramlan bin Ibrahim delivers a congratulatory remarks before 125 Korean participants.

In his remarks, Dato’ Ramlan encouraged more Korean investors to make Malaysia their investment destination. He applauded Korean companies for their forward looking attitude despite the gloomy global economic outlook.

The seminar attracted 125 Korean participants. During a business meeting with Malaysian private sector, 1 manufacturing project was proposed in Malaysia, 4 JVs were identified and 4 non-manufacturing projects were discussed. In addition, 21 Korean companies are interested in finding Malaysian partners for their export and 1 Korean company is interested in importing from Malaysia. A number of Korean companies will be visiting Malaysia to further discuss their investment projects.

On 16 April 2009, the Malaysian participants of the Seminar called on TYT Ambassador at his office to discuss their business interests in Korea. A number of them will be undertaking follow up visits to realize their business plans.

Malaysian participants to the Seminar paid a courtesy call on Dato’ Ramlan to discuss their business interests in Korea.

The group listens with interest to Ambassador’s briefing.

The participants find the interactive session with Ambassador very useful.

The Malaysian participants to the Seminar consist of 16 SME business people.

A number of them will be undertaking follow up visits to Korea to realize their business plans.
