Ambassador Othman Samin Presents His Credential to the Mauritanian President

The Malaysian Ambassador to Mauritania, H.E. Othman Samin presented his credential to the Mauritanian President, H.E. Sidi Mohamed Ould Cheikh Abdallahi at the Presidential Office in Nouakchott on Thursday, 21 June 2007. While accepting the credential from Ambassador Othman, the President of Mauritania expresses his personal as well as his new government’s willingness to work closely with Malaysia, both bilaterally as well as for the whole of the ummah. The President also expresses his appreciation on Malaysia’s direct involvement in the Capacity Building Programme among the OIC countries. H.E. Ambassador Othman Samin who is currently the resident Ambassador in Morocco, holds a concurrent accreditation to Mauritania as well as Tunisia. A seasoned diplomat, Ambassador Othman previously served as the Malaysian Ambassador to Conakry, Guinea and the Malaysian Consul General in Guangzhou in China. Ambassador Othman also served in Mali, Libya and Iran throughout his career with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Malaysia.
