The Malaysian Student Association in Morocco (Persatuan Mahasiswa Malaysia di Maghribi - PMMM) held its Annual Grand Meeting (AGM) on 5 April 2017. The Meeting was to take stock of its activities and initiatives implemented during the 2016/2017 period and to appoint a new student council to lead the association for the next cycle.
The Meeting was officiated by His Excellency Dato’ Jamal Hassan, Ambassador of Malaysia to Morocco who is also the Patron for the PMMM. In his remarks, Ambassador Jamal congratulated the PMMM for a year full of fruitful initiatives and thanked the outgoing leadership for the excellent cooperation extended to the Embassy of Malaysia in Morocco. The PMMM has been a strong proponent to most of activities organised by the Embassy namely Hari Sukan Negara 2016 and National Day Celebration 2016 as well as on various initiatives to promote Malaysia’s interests in Morocco. He also expressed the hope that the new leadership will continue to work hard in organising more initiatives that could contribute towards student’s character building. In this regard, he urged all students to be an active members of the PMMM and extend their much needed support to the activities planned by the council members.
The students were also reminded to be in the best of behaviour and to respect the local cultures in maintaining the good image of Malaysia. Ambassador Jamal also took the opportunity to encourage the students to read more about Transformasi National 2050 (TN50) and to provide their inputs and feedback to the government at https://mytn50.com.
