ASEAN Food and Charity Bazaar 2014
The ASEAN Food and Charity Bazaar 2014 was held at the Embassy of Malaysia in Rabat on 10 May 2014. All the residents Missions based in Morocco namely, Brunei, Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand and Viet Nam co-organized the event. This was the second time that the ASEAN Food and Charity Bazaar was held. The first was held in May 2013.
Besides the ASEAN food and culture, the event was aimed in promoting the awareness of ASEAN to the Moroccan public as well as to raise fund for a social cause. During the event, Malaysia presented a ‘silat pulut’ demonstration whilst Thailand ‘muay thai’, Viet Nam a traditional Vietnamese dance and Indonesia the ‘poco poco’ dance.
The highlight of the event was the contribution of the proceeds from the sale of bazaar to Mdm Touria Bouabdi, President of the ‘ Moroccan Association to help children in precarious situation’.
