MTCP ALUMNI GATHERING
22 DECEMBER 2009, AMARA HOTEL, NAY PYI TAW, MYANMAR
On 22 December 2009, TYT Dato’ Mazlan Muhammad and Datin Norini Moktar hosted the MTCP Alumni Gathering reception at Amara Hotel in Nay Pyi Taw, Union of Myanmar. The guest of honour of the event was Daw Myo Nwe, Director General of Foreign Economic Relation Department (FERD), Ministry of National Planning and Economic Development of the Union of Myanmar. The annual gathering was attended by 80 MTCP participants from various ministries and government agencies.
The reception started with welcoming remarks by TYT Dato’ Mazlan Muhammad and followed by opening speech by Daw Myo Nwe, Director General of Foreign Economic Relation Department (FERD). TYT Dato’ in his welcoming remarks highlighted the importance of MTCP programme in strengthening the bilateral relation between Malaysia and Myanmar and the way forward in 2010. On the other hand, Daw Myo Nwe in her opening remarks thanked Malaysian government for its assistance under the MTCP programme and hope for more collaboration between Malaysia and Myanmar in the future. The dinner ended at 8:30 pm.
