On 5 October 2021, H.E. Gloria Tiwet, High Commissioner of Malaysia to Nigeria held a meeting with H.E. Francisco Edu Ngua Mnague, Ambassador of the Republic of Equatorial Guinea. The meeting was held as the High Commission continued its lobbying efforts for Malaysia’s candidature to the International Maritime Organization (IMO) Council for the term 2022 - 2023.
