Bilateral Visit of the Minister of Tourism and Civil Aviation of Nepal to Malaysia

The Minister of Tourism and Civil Aviation of Nepal undertook a bilateral visit to Malaysia from 15-19 December 2009.  The visit was at the initiation of Y.B. Minister of Tourism Malaysia. The purpose of the visit is to enhance bilateral cooperation in the tourism and civil aviation sectors.One of the highlight of the programme is the Minister’s visit to the Malaysia Airport Berhad Head Office at KLIA. The Government of Nepal is keen to seek the cooperation of the Malaysia Airport Berhad, (MAB) to upgrade the TribhuvanInternational Airport, Kathmandu.  The Nepalese Minister was briefed about the technical and managerial capacity and capability of MAB in management of international airports not only in Malaysia but also in other countries such as India, Turkey etc. The Nepalese Minister was very impressed with the professionalism shown by MAB and has invited MAB to explore the potential to upgrade and manage the international Airport, Kathmandu on behalf of the Government of Nepal.
