H.E. Umardin Hj. Abdul Mutalib, Ambassador of Malaysia to Oman arrived in Muscat, Oman on 10th August 2014 to assume his duty as new ambassador of Malaysia. Both H.E. Umardin and his wife Mrs. Faridah Shariff were received on arrival by Mr. Fahad Mubarak Al-Balushi, Senior Protocol Officer of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Sultanate of Oman and Home-based staff of the Malaysian Embassy. Ambassadors of ASEAN countries and several other Head of Mission and their representatives together with their spouses were also at the VIP Lounge of the Muscat International Airport to greet the arrival of the in-coming Malaysian Ambassador and his spouse.
Subsequently, H.E. Umardin was officially received by H.H. Muhammed Salim Ali-Said, Chief of Protocol of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Sultanate of Oman on 11th August 2014 when the former made his initial visit to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. H.E. Umardin expressed his thanks to the warm welcome extended to him by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on his arrival upon assumption of duty as the new Malaysian Ambassador to the Sultanate of Oman. Both H.E. Umardin and H.H. Muhammed Salim Ali Al-Said also look forward to further strengthen the existing rapport between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Sultanate of Oman and the Embassy of Malaysia.
