Oman Deputy Prime Minister for the Council of Ministers receives Malaysian Minister

MUSCAT His Highness Sayyid Fahd bin Mahmood al Said, Deputy Prime Minister for the Council of Ministers, received here yesterday Sharazaad Abdul-Jaleel, Malaysia's Minister of Women and Family Affairs and Development of Society. HH Sayyid Fahd welcomed the minister and her delegation. HH Sayyid Fahd highlighted fields of social progress in Oman under this prosperous era and the care extended to Omani women which has enabled them to shoulder their national responsibility.

They also discussed horizons of future Oman-Malaysian co-operation in social development and tourism with special emphasis on activating bilateral agreements and completion of the remaining ones that are being studied by the two sides. Matters of common concern were also reviewed. The guests expressed their delight in visiting Oman and familiarise themselves with its landmarks and its achievements at all levels thanks to the wise leadership of His Majesty Sultan Qaboos.

The minister expressed her admiration with the full attention given to Omani family and the achievements by Omani women in terms of progress in all walks of life. The meeting was attended by Dr Sharifa bint Khalfan al Yahya'eeya, Minister of Social Development and the Malaysian charge d'affaires in the Sultanate.
