Sultan Qaboos receives greetings for Oman 36th National Day from His Majesty the Yang di-Pertuan Agong of Malaysia and other world leaders
MUSCAT- His Majesty Sultan Qaboos bin Said has received more cables of greetings on the occasion of the glorious 36th National Day from a number of leaders of sisterly and friendly countries and senior international officials expressing greetings and best wishes to His Majesty and good health, happiness and a long life and the Omani people further progress and prosperity under the wise leadership of His Majesty the Sultan.
The cables were received from His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa of Bahrain; His Highness Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani, emir of Qatar; His Highness Sheikh Sabah Al Ahmed Al Jabir Al Sabah, emir of Kuwait; King Abdullah II of Jordan; King Mohammed IV of Morocco; President Bashar Al Assad of Syria; President Mohammed Hosni Mubarak of Egypt; President Ali Abdullah Saleh of Yemen; Tuanku Syed Sirajuddin ibni Almarhum Tuanku Syed Putra Jamalullail, the Yang di-Pertuan Agong of Malaysia; President Abdoulaye Wade of Senegal; Emperor Akihito of Japan; King Bhumibol Adulyadej of Thailand; President Girma Woldegiorgis of Ethiopia; President George W. Bush of the USA; President Giorgio Napolitano of Italy and President Jakaya Mrisho Kikwete of Tanzania.
His Majesty the Sultan has also received cables of greetings from Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, crown prince of Qatar; Fuad Siniora, premier of Lebanon; and Kofi Anan, UN secretary-general.
