| On 27 April 2026, the Embassy of Malaysia in Lima co-organised the Documentary Exhibition for the 40th Anniversary of the Establishment of Diplomatic Relations between Peru and Malaysia at the Lobby of the Carlos García Bedoya Building, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Peru. The opening speech during the inauguration was delivered by H.E. Ahmad Irham Ikmal Hisham, Ambassador of Malaysia to Peru, and H.E. Félix Denegri Boza, Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs of Peru, in the presence of Senior Officials and Directors General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Peru, Heads of Mission, members of the diplomatic corps and distinguished guests. The exhibition commemorated four decades of strong and growing bilateral ties since the establishment of diplomatic relations on 24 April 1986. It also highlighted the continued commitment of both countries to deepen cooperation in trade, investment, renewable energy, education, culture, tourism, and halal industry development. Malaysia and Peru remain committed to advancing a resilient, prosperous, and mutually beneficial partnership for the years ahead. |
