On 09 April 2026, Consul General of Malaysia, Mr. Deddy Faisal Ahmad Salleh attended the Commemoration of the 84th Araw Ng Kagitingan held at the Veterans Memorial Monument, Davao City. The event was organised by the City Government of Davao and was graced by Vice President Sara Duterte, alongside members of the diplomatic corps, officials and employees of the city government, city councilors, security forces, the Veterans Federation of the Philippines and other distinguished guests.
As part of the commemoration, a 21-gun salute and a wreath-laying ceremony were conducted. Major General Alvin Luzon, PA, Commander of the 10th Infantry (Agila) Division, served as the Guest of Honour and Speaker. This solemn occasion paid tribute to the courage, sacrifice and patriotism of the nation’s heroes, whose legacy continues to inspire future generations.
