AIDIL ADHA CELEBRATION AT MALAWAKIL MOSCOW

The Embassy of Malaysia in Moscow hosted a Hari Raya Aidil Adha celebration on 26th October 2012 which was attended by almost 300 Malaysians in the Russian Federation including students and the staff of the Embassy. The event started with the Solat Sunat Aidil Adha and this was followed by a speech by YBhg. Dato’ Zainol Abidin Omar. An Aidil Adha reception was held after the prayers. In conjunction with this year’s celebration, the Embassy in collaboration with the Malaysian Students Associations in Moscow had sacrificed two (2) bulls and twelve (12) sheep. On 28th September, the Embassy organized a function during which meat from the sacrificial animals were distributed.

 

Earlier on 26 October 2012, the Embassy had organized a visit to ECOL a Turkish company that processes halal meat in Moscow. The Embassy had sacrificed the two (2) bulls and twelve (12) sheep at the ECOL meat processing plant. Dato’ Zainol Abidin Omar and the Embassy staff were welcomed by Mr. Burak Calkan, the Deputy General Manager, who accompanied the delegation on a tour of the facilities at the factory and also to witness the sacrifice of the animals
