Moscow Celebrates SPB Yang di-Pertuan Agong's Birthday
Malaysians attentively listen to the speech given by Dato' Mohamad Khalis
Amidst the chilly summer weekend, the Embassy of Malaysia organised the a reception for Malaysians in the vicinity of Moscow City to celebrate Seri Paduka Baginda Yang di-Pertuan Agong's Birthday. The programme started off with a doa recital and was followed by the National Anthem Negaraku and a patriotic song, Jalur Gemilang.
Dato' Mohamad Khalis, Ambassador of Malaysia to the Russian Federation in his speech touched on the importance and significance of the constitutional monarch in maintain balance and harmony in our country. Dato' Mohamad Khalis also took the opportunity to urge all Malaysians in Russia to understand and embrace the 1Malaysia concept that has been introduced by YAB Perdana Menteri. Dato' Ambassador added that the concept is not something new as most of the 8 values imbued in 1Malaysia such as acceptance, culture of excellence, loyalty and integrity has been part and parcel of Malaysian life.
As part of the day's programme, Dato' Ambassador's speech was followed by a lavish spread of Malaysian cuisine that was happily enjoyed by the Malaysians present.
