GUIDELINES ENTRY AND QUARANTINE PROCESS PERSON UNDER SURVEILLANCE (PUS) ARRIVING FROM ABROAD STARTING 24 JULY 2020

  1. The Government of Malaysia has decided that all individuals entering Malaysia from abroad will be subjected to compulsory quarantine orders at the Quarantine Stations set by the Government of Malaysia, subject to the provisions of Section 15 (1) Prevention and Control of Infectious Diseases Act 1988 (Act 342).

 

  1. The Government of Malaysia hereby decides that all Malaysian citizens who arrive in Malaysia beginning 24 July 2020 shall be required to bear 100% of the cost of 14 days quarantine process. Any citizen who decides to return to Malaysia shall be required to make written declaration agreeing to the payment before the journey. The template for the Letter of Undertaking and Indemnity is available for download.

 

  1. While, non-citizen (who has obtained permission to enter Malaysia) shall be required to make the full payment (100%) of the expenses incurred during the 14 days quarantine process. Non-citizen shall also be required to make the written declaration agreeing to bear the expenses before the departure to Malaysia.

  1. Kindly complete the Letter of Undertaking and Indemnity form and e-mail it to dil.cons@kln.gov.my copy to mwdili@kln.gov.my together with a copy of passport. A letter on permission to travel to Malaysia will be issued by the Embassy if the applicant meets the requirements set by the Malaysian Government.
