Dili, 19–24 January 2026 — The Embassy of Malaysia facilitated a working visit by a delegation from the National University of Malaysia (UKM) led by Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dato’ Dr. Sufian Jusoh and Deputy Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. Abdul Halim bin Abdul Gafor.
The delegation met with Vice Prime Minister H.E. Dato’ Sri Francisco Kalbuadi Lay and Minister of Higher Education, Science and Culture H.E. José Honório da Costa Pereira Jerónimo. The delegation also had discussions with the Human Capital Development Fund (FDCH) and major institutions including Universidade Nacional Timor Lorosa'e (UNTL). Universidade da Paz (UNPAZ), Dili Institute of Technology (DIT), Universidade Oriental Timor Lorosa'e (UNITAL), Institute of Business (IOB), and Instituto Cieencias da Saude (ICS)
