On 26 February 2025, the Ambassadors of ASEAN Committee in Stockholm (ACS) paid a courtesy call on Ms. Camilla Melander, Director General for Trade Policy of Swedish Foreign Ministry. This engagement underscored the shared commitment between ASEAN member states and Sweden to strengthening cooperation in trade, sustainability, and innovation.
During the meeting, aside from briefing about Malaysia's ASEAN Chairmanship priorities, Ambassador Sarimah Akbar highlighted ASEAN's concern on palm oil issue, and explored opportunities to address the issue through collaboration and transparency that benefit all stakeholders.
