On 15 May 2026, Ambassador Sarimah Akbar received a courtesy call from YBhg. Datuk Dr. Abdul Latiff Mirasa, Executive Chairman of the Restu Foundation, along with his delegation, at the Embassy of Malaysia in Stockholm. The delegation was in Stockholm to organise the Scandinavia Islamic Arts and Calligraphy Exhibition under the umbrella of the global 1 Million Waqf Quran Initiative.
During the meeting, both sides exchanged views on the successful implementation of the Quran Waqf project as well as several upcoming initiatives to be undertaken by Restu Foundation, including the Mushaf Malaysia MADANI initiative. Additionally, the discussion also touched on efforts to further strengthen cooperation in promoting Islamic arts and cultural diplomacy between Malaysia and partners in the Scandinavian region.
