On 6 February 2025, Ambassador Sarimah Akbar received an introductory call from Mr. Roger Ekenstedt and Mr. Anders Bjärgård, Heads of Embassy Protection Coordinator of Swedish Police, at the Embassy of Malaysia in Stockholm.
During the meeting, both sides engaged in discussions on the current security landscape in Sweden and explored potential avenues for collaboration between the Embassy and the Swedish Police. Concurrently, Ambassador Sarimah also took the opportunity to convey Malaysia’s deepest condolences and sympathies for the tragic Örebro shooting incident, standing in solidarity with those affected during this difficult time.
