INTERNATIONAL YSTAD MILITARY TATTOO

The Royal Malaysian Police Band and 13 bands from other countries namely Holland, the UK, Germany, Norway and Sweden participated in the 6th International Ystad Military Tattoo from 12-15 August 2009. The Royal Malaysian Police Band with 70 officers from various ranks was led by ACP Lai Yong Heng.

The Ambassador of Malaysia and the rest of the Embassy’s officials were invited by the Swedish Army to attend closing of the tattoo at the Gala Performance on 15 August. Upon arrival in Ystad, the Embassy officials were treated by light lunch by the Mayor of Ystad, His Excellency Mr. Hakån Mattsson and performance by the Royal Malaysian Police Band at the center of Ystad Square.

The Royal Malaysian Police Band was the center of attention and attraction from the Swedish public as they perform around the town of Ystad and with their daily choreographed night performances.
