On 22 November 2024, Her Excellency Sarimah Akbar, Ambassador of Malaysia to Sweden, attended and delivered an opening remarks at the Malaysia-Sweden Digital Day in Helio Slussen, Stockholm. The event was an initiative of Malaysia Digital Economy Corporation (MDEC) and Vilja Solution, aimed to strengthen collaboration between the financial technology (fintech) ecosystems of the Nordics and ASEAN.
During the event, our Ambassador underscored the transformative role of fintech in reshaping global economies, highlighting Sweden's leadership as a cashless society and Malaysia's rise as a fintech hub in Southeast Asia. Together, Malaysia and Sweden are driving a digital financial future that’s inclusive, innovative, and sustainable for both regions.
