MALAYSIAN INDEPENDENCE EXHIBITION ON THE STRUGGLE TOWARDS INDEPENDENCE

An Exhibition commemorating Malaysia 52^nd Independence Anniversary will be held from 28th September to 2nd October 2009 at the Embassy of Malaysia. The Exhibition entitled “Perjuangan Perdana Kearah Kemerdekaan” is organized by the Embassy of Malaysia in collaboration with the National Archives of Malaysia and Tourism Malaysia.

The Exhibition would showcase the unique and diverse multiracial make-up of Malaysia which depicts the struggle of Malays, Chinese and Indians during the era of Japanese occupation, the establishment of Malayan Union and the emergency periods towards the independent of Malaya and later the formation of Malaysia.

His Excellency Dato’ Kamarudin Mustafa, the Ambassador of Malaysia would officially open the Exhibition on 30^th September 2009. The Exhibition is open to the public from the 28th September to 2nd October 2009 from 10.00am to 3.30pm. Admission to the exhibition is free.
