On 31 August 2024, Malaysians in Sweden gathered to celebrate the 67th National Day at the Embassy of Malaysia in Stockholm. Approximately 250 people attended the event, which include members of the diplomatic corps, students and the general public in Sweden.
During the event, the attendees witnessed various cultural performances, such as Joget Pahang, Lion Dance, Bharatanatyam, and Sumazau Dance. In addition, as an effort to promote Malaysian gastronomy to the local people, the attendees were treated to a variety of delicacies such as nasi lemak, chicken satay, roti jala, laksa Sarawak and many more. Concurrently, to further enliven the national day celebration, a batik painting session was also held in an effort to promote the uniqueness of the country's art to the attendees.
