On 4 November 2017, the Ambassador of Malaysia attended Deepavali Celebration organised by the Swedish Malaysian Association (SMA) in Stockholm in her capacity as Patron of the SMA. The event was held at the Restaurang Västbergakällaren, Stockholm run by a Malaysian. Around 40 people attended the event, comprising Malaysian expatriates and their family members. Apart of the Deepavali celebration, the SMA also held their Annual General Meeting and appointed its new committee members. The event had also organised a few games and lucky draw and karaoke during the day.
