From 18 to 22 February 2025, YB Datuk Amar Haji Awang Tengah Ali Hasan, Deputy Premier of Sarawak, undertook a working visit to Oslo and Bergen, Norway to study the cities' succesful urban planning, sustainable development, and cultural vibrance that contribute to the Kingdom's socio-economic development. The valuable insights gained from this visit will be used by RECODA, Sarawak, to transform Sarawak into a sustainable and climate-resilient state.
Programmes of the visit include meeting with Mr. Peter Austin, Planning Advisor of Oslo's City Government; engagement with Prof. Hans Jacob Roald, former city Planner of Bergen; Courtesy Call on H.E. Marit Warncke, Mayor of Bergen; and visits to CCB Energy Park and Northern Lights CCS Project.
