OFFICIAL LAUNCH OF PROTON PERSONA CNG

INTERCONTINENTAL HOTEL, BANGKOK

The official launch of Proton Persona CNG was held on 7 October 2008 at the Inter-Continental Hotel. It was attended by approximately 200 guests and around 50 journalists and cameramen, both local and foreign. A total of 6 journalists were brought in from Malaysia to cover the event. A number of officials from the Embassy of Malaysia led by Mr. Syed Bakri Syed Abdul Rahman, Charge d’Affaires of the Embassy, were also present.

2.         The event was officiated by Dato’ Hj. Syed Zainal Abidin Syed Mohamed Tahir, Managing Director of Proton Holdings Berhad who succinctly gave a brief account on Proton’s performance since venturing into the Thai market barely a year ago. He underscored Proton’s confidence that the Persona would be well received due to its special features and competitive price. He even put a target of 500 units to be sold per month. The starting price of Proton Persona CNG is set at Baht 549,000.
