On 3 September 2012, the Embassy of Malaysia in Bangkok, Thailand held a reception in conjunction with the 55th National Day of Malaysia at Intercontinental Hotel in Bangkok. Among the attendees was Pol Gen Adul Saengsingkaew, the National Chief of Police, Gen Vichieu Pojphosri, Secretary General of the National Security Council, Gen Sonthi Boonyaraglin, former Commander-in-Chief of the Royal Thai Army, Mr. Sophon Petchsawang, Advisor Minister to Minister attached to the Prime Minister Office, MP Mr Chavarat Chanveerakul, Khunying Kingkaew Auethaweekul and Mr. Poomrat Damyot, representative of Minister of Culture.
