On 12 December 2024, Mr. Ahmad Fahmi Sarkawi, Consul General Malaysia of Songkhla received an invitation to attend the Seminar on Final Results Presentation for Cruise Tourism Development in IMT-GT at Buri Sriphu Hotel, Hat Yai, Songkhla. The seminar discusses on potential and future cruise ship tourism routes between the three countries of Indonesia, Malaysia and Thailand. There cruise ship routes also are expected to increase tourism between Indonesia, Malaysia and Thailand.
