YB Dato’ Sri Ahmad Shabery Cheek, Minister of Agriculture and Agro-Based Industry (MOA) Malaysia undertook a working visit to fisheries related sites in Songkhla, Thailand on 6 February 2017.
During the programme, YB Minister visited and had discussions with representatives of Songkhla Canning Public Co. Ltd, National Institute of Coastal Aquaculture (NICA) and Koh Yo White Seabass Aquaculture Site. The visit by the YB Minister has assisted and paved the way for bigger avenues of cooperation between Malaysia and Thailand in the field of fisheries and aquaculture technology.
YB Minister was accompanied by representatives from the Department of Fisheries (DOF) Malaysia, Consul General of Malaysia in Songkhla, officials from MOA and Malaysia’s Agriculture Attache in Bangkok.
