On 25 June 2023, the Embassy of Malaysia in Abu Dhabi and the ASEAN Committee in Abu Dhabi (ACAD) organized the ASEAN Bowling Tournament at the Khalifa International Bowling Centre, Zayed Sports City. The tournament gathered more than 150 families and communities of seven ASEAN countries from Malaysia, Indonesia, Brunei, Singapore, Vietnam, Thailand and the Philippines. The tournament, was the first activities by the ACAD since the Covid-19 pandemic. Indonesia appeared as champion of the tournament, followed by Malaysia as the first runner up and the Phillippines as the second runner up. More activities are to be organized by the ACAD in the near future, aimed at strengthening the ties among the ASEAN embassies and its communities in Abu Dhabi.
